ACVT Valve System
U.S. Patent No. 6,254,258 B1

The patented ACVT Valve System is a one-way valve in its normal position. When the fixture is turned on and the pressure builds inside, the air is allowed to escape through the ACVT Valve. When the fixture is turned off and the pressure collapses, the ACVT Valve does not allow air back into the fixture and since all other components are hermetically sealed a vacuum is formed inside the fixture. Condensation will not form in a vacuum. Since we have created enough vacuum to preclude air from condensing, we have also created a vacuum to keep the maintenance man from being able to remove the hermetically sealed fixture cap.

The ACVT Valve now becomes a one-way valve in the other direction. The valve is spring loaded and by depressing the valve, the air pressure inside the fixture is allowed to equalize and the cap is easily removed. After the cap is reinstalled and the fixture is allowed to cycle two or three times, the vacuum is reinitiated and condensation is again eliminated.N othing could be easier and nothing is equal to Teka Illumination's ACVT Valve System!

360HDT Mounting System
U.S. Patent No. 6,161,948

The patented 360HDT is made up of three machined aluminum components: the short knuckle, the long knuckle, the mounting nipple, two stainless steel, hex head, aiming lock screws, four high temperature 'O' rings. The short knuckle mounts to the back of the fixture and incorporates an 'O' ring to insure a positive seal between the knuckle and the fixture housing. The long knuckle incorporates the aiming lock screws that lock the horizontal (rotational) and vertical-aiming positions. The mounting nipple is threaded for ½" mounting and incorporates two 'O' rings, one at its base to create a seal between the nipple and the device to which it is mounted and one at the top to create a seal between itself and the inside of the long nipple. Stainless steel pins are used to create a 360° stop so that the fixture wiring cannot be damaged during rotational aiming.

The ' aim-and-lock technology ' allows the designer to rotate and aim the fixture without the use of tools. This means the designer can make those very important, very slight tweaking adjustments without the redundant tightening and loosening that most knuckles require. Once adjusted, and with the use of a single tool, the horizontal (rotational) and the vertical aiming is locked into place. The mechanical compression fit of these precisely-machined tapers create a complete positive lock. This eliminates the need for serrations as found on most knuckles which allows only incremental aiming and therefore limited aiming. The 'O' ring between the long and the short knuckle not only provides a water-tight seal, but it also puts a pressure loading on the threads of the vertical-aiming lock screw so that vibrations will not cause the locking screw to loosen. The use of machined 6061-T6 aluminum alloy provides mechanical strengths far beyond that of any cast knuckle. This ensures that the 360HDTM Mounting System is the strongest part of the lighting fixture not the weakest!
