The Lobos Ridge Residence located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California offers spectacular views of the Carmel Highlands, Carmel Bay and the Santa Lucia Mountain range. The building includes passive solar design elements, radiant heat and low voltage lighting and has been featured in a book by Claudio Santini and Dafna Zilafro.

TEKA Illumination originally began as a coastal company with many of its product designs and nomenclature are rooted in naval or watercraft traditions. Its no surprise that most TEKA products are applied in or around coastal regions. This is especially true of Carmel-by-the-Sea on the west-central coast of California.

The Lobo Ridge Residence contains several different types of TEKA Illumination products including two different types of Beacon Wall Mounts and an 1130 path light. Most of the copper and bronze fixtures are installed on the rear of the home as shown below.

These fixtures undergo a rapid patina process due to the saline updrafts the home receives atop its ridge.
