Fall brings TEKA to Packard Foundation

The 49,000 square foot David and Lucile Packard Foundation headquarters in Los Altos, California, was designed to be a net zero energy LEED® Platinum certified structure. Gaining 94 out of a possible 110 points, the Packard building utilizes a wide range of smart design from water collection, angled HVAC piping, solar production and of course, highly efficient LED and compact fluorescent products from TEKA Illumination and B-K Lighting.

The International Association of Lighting Designer is hosting the 2013 Enlighten Americas event in Montreal, Canada, beginning Thursday, October 3rd, 2013.
This year's speaker and sessions are particularly interesting with topics ranging from social history of light, rhythms, lies and photometrics, LED facial scanning systems, energy codes and more. TEKA Illumination is a gold level sponsor of this event.

The Arcade Series can be used in a variety of ways but is most commonly applied vertically on a wall's surface.
This custom version of the Full Shield is intended to be used in a horizontal position as a down light over a doorway, sill or specific point of interest.
The translucent white acrylic diffuser has been shielded on three sides making it a Dark Sky friendly luminaire.
