QUESTION: Which TEKA Illumination Fixtures use Line Voltage?

ANSWER:   Great question!

Line voltage is the standard voltage found in outlets and junction boxes, which is typically 120 volts in Canada and the United States. Low voltage lighting generally uses 12 volts and requires a transformer to lower the line voltage from 120 to 12 volts. This reduction helps avoid shortening the life of a standard low voltage source. When there is a transformer for low voltage lighting, it is either built into the fixture or located elsewhere.

TEKA Illumination proudly released our Power of ‘L’ BKSSL® source in July of 2017. Power of ‘L’ is a line voltage source and is therefore transformer-free.

Find our new transformer-free source in TEKA Illumination’s Apollo Pillar (APL), Classic Surface Mount (CFM), Light House Sconce (LHS), Beacon Wall Mount (BWM), Beacon Stem Mount (BSM) and featured product Screened Wall Mount (SWM).
