The historic Hollywood Hotel Bel Air was transformed by two years of renovation and expansion in 2009. Among the many new amenities were over 100 Classic High Light path lights from TEKA Illumination.

The redesign and expansion of the hotel was headed by designer Alexandra Champalimaud and architect David Rockwell. Eleven new outlying villas were created providing a total of an additional 15 rooms complete with new gardens, walks and landscaping.

Many of the details of the hotel have been updated with more modern aesthetics but still retain the classic lines of the 1940's, 50's and 60's. A complete spa named La Prairie and a Wolfgang Puck restaurant round out the improvements. One thing that has not changed is the hotel's iconic pink stucco facade and swan residents.
