Our featured 'Best Shot' for Element's December 2012 issue is the Serenity House located in Santa Barbara, California.

Built in 2009 by Frank Schipper Construction and lead by Project Architect Kristin Story of PMSM Architects , the 27,300-square-foot, 18 bed hospice facility utilizes Arcade Series Full Shield fixtures along stairwells and MBP pathlights atop BSB series bollards.  Serenity House is currently listed as a LEED registered project and according to Jennifer Guess, a publicist representing Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care, the facility utilzes two underground 10,000-gallon cisterns to harvest rainwater for landscape irrigation.  More information on the project may be found at Santa Barbara's community-driven digital newspaper Noozhawk.
