QUESTION: What is the best orientation for the Classic Surface Mount?

ANSWER:   Great question!

Originally, when the Classic Surface Mount (CFM) was first introduced, the orientation was meant purely as an architectural surface product, meaning a wall mount. As years progressed and the creative generations utilized this stout fixture, orientations varied. Now CFM can be found as a low level, ceiling mount, and yes, still in its original orientation, of architectural surface (wall mount).

So to answer the question, the best orientation is however you mount it!
