Every month, TEKA Illumination will answer your Frequently Asked Questions. This month, we answer the following FAQ:
QUESTION: What is Hi/Low switching featured in the new Tower Bollard?
ANSWER: Great question!
The Tower Bollard (TWB), an amazing fixture in its own right was recently released with so new innovations. From its Emergency Battery Backup, Receptacle options and surge Protection, this bollard has all you need!
Add to that a Hi/Low Switching Motion Sensor and its the product of the year!
What is Hi/Low Switching? Its actually very simple. Within the sealed lens compartment of the Tower Bollard (TWB) is a highly sophisticated motion sensor that self-adjusts the intensity of your fixture per your specifications within its "field of vision".
Installers can configure each bollard to act independently, or they can string them together so the entirety of your bollard system will turn HI or LO all at once. This provides accent and security lighting from dusk-to dawn based on the end users settings.
In addition, unlike many motion sensors included in other manufacturer’s bollards, TEKA Illumination’s HLS uses a technology completely transparent to the design. Where traditional motion sensors stick out and are visible in the housing, TEKA’s HLS is invisible to the naked eye!
Looking for Hi/Low Motion Sensor in other products? This feature is available in our Apollo Bollard (APB) and Beacon Bollard (BSB), as well as the Tower Bollard (TWB).
