Last month we reviewed a glorious state college application but for October we scale back with two 1130 path lights in a place you might not first expect!

This Saratoga, California residence was designed by Brian Peters in collaboration with Kikuchi + Kankel Design Group and David Wilds Patton with an overall budget of $1,300,000. Amenities include courtyards, a free-form pool, olive tree gardens, a separate cabana entertaining area and several fountains.

We've seen some interesting lighting applications over the years in the BBQ arena, particularly when it comes to customs. This application of two 1130 path lights atop the island isn't custom; the bases are actually our Pillar Mount Canopy (PMC) accessory option.

The patina on these 1130 path lights blends well with the textures and overall color scheme of the outdoor kitchen area with warm and inviting yellows and browns. The incorporation of the brushed appliances adds a level chic to the space whereas the large burnt orange umbrella draws attention to the finer details.

If one looks closely at the image below, three B-K Lighting floodlights can be seen beneath the roof; one illuminates the large umbrella, the second illuminates the pathway between the island and the stone columns (as a down light) and third, within the structure sitting area. saratoga4
